KERALA CRAFTS WAS SET UP IN 2001 TO HELP PROVIDE AN ALTERNATIVE TO A LIFE OF POVERTY FOR MARGINALISED WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN KERALA, SOUTHERN INDIA. THE MAIN FOCUS IS ON SUPPORTING THE VIMALA WELFARE CENTRE & MALABAR MEMSAHIB WELFARE, PRINCIPALLY THROUGH SELLING FAIR TRADE PRODUCTS MADE BY THEM. PROCEEDS FROM SALES, TOGETHER WITH A SPONSORSHIP SCHEME PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR 3 ORPHANAGES FOR GIRLS.
