A) FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC TO RELIEVE THE EFFECTS OF OLD AGE SUCH AS IMMOBILITY AND POOR HEALTH AND THE IMPACT OF SOCIAL ISOLATION AND THE LACK OF EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT AMONGST ELDERLY PEOPLE LIVING THROUGHOUT THE UK IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:-
(I) PROVIDING A COMPANION SERVICE
(II) PROVIDING PRACTICAL ADVICE ON HEALTH AND WELFARE ISSUES
(III) PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE BY WAY OF SMALL GRANTS
(IV) PROVIDING AN ONGOING SUPPORT NETWORK
