TO CONSERVE, PROTECT AND WHERE NECESSARY REHABILILITATE AND IMPROVE THE WATERS, LIFE WITHIN AND LIFE SUSTAINED BY THE RIVERS AND STREAMS IN THE CATCHMENT OF THE RIVER WELLAND INCLUDING ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC, COMPANIES AND PUBLIC BODIES IN: A) THE WATER CYCLE OF LAKES, PONDS, RIVERS AND FEN DRAINS INCLUDING THEIR BIO-DIVERSITY, SOCIO-ECONOMIC AND AMENITY VALUES; AND B) THE NEED FOR AND BENEFITS OF CONSERVATION, PROTECTION, REHABILITATION AND IMPROVMENT OF THE AQUATIC ENVIRONMENT LEADING TO IT'S SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT.
