Charitable objects
4.1 The Charity’s objects (Objects) are, for the benefit of the public:
4.1.1 to encourage the conservation, protection and expansion of orchards and the enhancement of their biodiversity, landscape and heritage value;
4.1.2 to advance the education of the public in:
(a) horticulture and in particular, but not exclusively, orchard management skills; and
(b) healthy living and healthy food systems in particular, but not exclusively, through involvement in horticulture and orchards;
4.1.3 to advance community development and citizenship in particular, but not exclusively, through engaging the public in horticulture and orchards; and
4.1.4 to advance environmental protection and improvement through educating the public in particular, but not exclusively, about horticulture and orchards.
4.2 Nothing in these Articles shall authorise an application of the property of the Charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and/or section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
