The Goldie Hawn Foundation provides professional training for teachers to support the effective implementation of MindUP, an evidence-based, whole-school, Social Emotional Learning programme. Created to support the mental health and wellbeing of children, MindUP is a strengths-based curriculum designed to lay strong foundations for children to navigate the challenges of the 21st century.

THE CHARITY'S OBJECT ("OBJECTS") IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND SHALL INCLUDE, BUT SHALL NOT BE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE FOLLOWING: (1)IMPROVING INDIVIDUAL STUDENT LEARNING AND WELLBEING IN THE CLASSROOM; (2)PROVIDING TEACHERS WITH TOOLS TO CREATE AN EASIER LEARNING ENVIRONMENT IN THEIR CLASSROOM; (3)EMBEDDING THE FOCUS ON STUDENT WELLBEING INTO UK SCHOOLS' CURRICULA; (4)PRODUCING RESEARCH THAT PROVES THE EFFICACY OF MAKING STUDENTS HAPPIER IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LEARNING; (5)CREATING PARENT RESOURCE MATERIAL AND PARENT OUTREACH GROUPS; (6)TRAINING TEACHERS WITH THE MINDUP PROGRAMMING AT PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION LEVEL; (7)EXPANDING THE MINDUP PROGRAMMING TO NON-SCHOOL ENVIRONMENTS; AND (8)EXPLORING MINDUP PROGRAMMING TAILORED FOR YOUNGER AND OLDER AGE GROUPS.
