TO EDUCATE AND INSPIRE THE PUBLIC AND ALL MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES AS TO THE HISTORY AND CURRENT ACTIVITIES OF THE ROYAL MARINES AND THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO DEFENCE SO AS TO ASSIST IN RECRUITING AND THE MAINTENANCE OF ESPRIT DE CORPS AND THE RECOGNITION OF SACRIFICE THROUGH THE PUBLIC EXHIBITION OF THE ROYAL MARINES MUSEUM COLLECTION AND IN PARTICULAR BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING:- (A) TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE A PUBLIC MUSEUM OR MUSEUMS OF THE ROYAL MARINES MUSEUM COLLECTION OR TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE THE SAME IN SUCH OTHER PUBLIC PLACE AS THE TRUSTEES MAY DECIDE FROM TIME TO TIME; (B) TO CONSERVE, RESTORE, REPAIR, PRESERVE, RESEARCH, CATALOGUE, INTERPRET AND MAKE ACCESSIBLE TO THE PUBLIC ITEMS IN THE ROYAL MARINES MUSEUM COLLECTION
