THE OBJECTS OF THE COMPANY ("OBJECTS") ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE FOLLOWING: THE PROMOTION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC OF THE ADVANCEMENT OF FURTHER AND HIGHER EDUCATION (INCLUDING IN PARTICULAR BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION THE TRAINING OF PERSONS AS TEACHERS) AND FOR THAT PURPOSE THE ACQUISITION OF THE UNDERTAKINGS AND ASSETS OF THE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE PLYMOUTH ST MARK & ST JOHN (AN UNINCORPORATED CHARITY WITH REGISTERED NUMBER 312929) AND OF THE COLLEGE OF ST MARK & ST JOHN FOUNDATION, THE CURRENT TRUSTEE OF SUCH AN UNINCORPORATED CHARITY, AND THE SUBSEQUENT MAINTENANCE AND CARRYING ON OF THE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRINCIPLES OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND.
