Activities - how the charity spends its money
The Village Hall is the centre of our social community activities for the small hamlet of Sawdon within the North York Moors jurisdiction. Our activities include our Village Show, Cream Teas, Coffee Mornings and Parties etc. Our principle activity at the present is fund raising to replace our exhisting Hall which was an RAF hut. Its condition is such that we require a new Village Hall.

"THE PROPERY SHALL BE HELD UPON TRUST FOR THE PURPOSE OF A VILLAGE HALL FOR THE USE OF THE INHABITANTS OF SAWDON IN THE COUNTY OF NORTH YORKSHIRE WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS INCLUDING USE FOR MEETINGS, LECTURES, CLASSES AND FOR OTHER FOMRS OF RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS" CLAUSE 1.1 OF THE LEASE AND TRUST DEED
