Healing Minds Foundation is developing and implementing a model of free mental health care and education in conflict and crisis situations. Our main project today is Kashmir Lifeline & Health Centre. Led by our team of over thirty people on the ground in Srinagar and around the state, Kashmir Lifeline provides the helpline, counseling, outreach and training services described on the website.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ("THE OBJECTS") ARE: FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROVIDE EFFECTIVE INTEGRATED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES IN INDIA TO COMMUNITIES PSYCHOLOGICALLY TRAUMATIZED BY EXTENDED PERIODS OF VIOLENCE, CONFLICT, OR AS A RESULT OF NATURAL DISASTERS. OUR AIM IS TO PROVIDE A THREE-TIER SYSTEM INCLUDING A FREE TRAUMA HELPLINE, FREE COUNSELING SERVICES, AND FREE PRIMARY MENTAL HEALTH CARE EDUCATION TO RURAL COMMUNITIES, AND SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES.
