Raising awareness of AML at fundraising events. Providing financial assistance to research into a cure for AML. Before the Trust gained charitable status funds were donated to Oxford University for an ALISA Spectrometer to understand how AML cells interact with the immune system. Further donations are planned to Birmingham University to assist in extending these results .

TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PROMOTE HEALTH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN RELATION TO ACUTE MYELOID LEUKAEMIA (AML), BY: A) PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CAREFULLY CHOSEN INITIATIVES WORKING TO: I) DEVELOP BETTER TREATMENTS FOR AML II) FIND A CURE III) SUPPORT AML RESEARCH. B) RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF AML AND LEUKAEMIA. C) DEVELOPING RELATIONSHIPS AND SUPPORTING THOSE UNDERTAKING RESEARCH INTO AML. THE TRUST WILL FOCUS ON AML IN CHILDREN, HOWEVER THE TRUST WILL ALSO CONSIDER PROVIDING FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO ADULT AML INITIATIVES DUE TO THE SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THE ADULT AND CHILDHOOD FORMS OF THIS TYPE OF LEUKAEMIA.
