TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE PAST OF THE CITY OF LINCOLN AND ITS ARCHAEOLOGICAL ENVIRONS BY:- (I) CARRYING OUT ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND OTHER INVESTIGATIONS (II) CARRYING OUT RESEARCH AND OTHER PROJECTS. (III) ASSEMBLING EVIDENCE AND PUBLISHING APPROPRIATE REPORTS. (IV) HOLDING EXHIBITIONS (V) RAISING FUNDS, TOGETHER WITH THE ABILITY TO INVEST SUCH FUNDS AS ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR IMMEDIATE APPLICATION. (VI) ANY OTHER ACTIVITY FOR ACHIEVEMENT OF ITS OBJECTIVES PROVIDED SUCH ACTIVITIES DO NOT INCLUDE PREMANENT TRADING.
