FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PEOPLE IN THE UK AND OVERSEAS IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES THINK FIT, INCLUDING BY: - PROVIDING GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS, PARTICULARLY TO THOSE OF LIMITED MEANS WHO OTHERWISE WOULD HAVE DIFFICULTY IN PURSUING THEIR CHOSEN FIELD OF STUDY, ARTISTIC ENDEAVOUR OR TRAINING; - PROVIDING GRANTS TO LIBRARIES, INSTITUTIONS AND ORGANISATIONS INVOLVED IN EDUCATION AND THE ARTS; - PROMOTING AND PUBLISHING RESEARCH, PARTICULARLY IN THE FIELDS OF MONETARY THEORY AND BANKING; - PROVIDING SUPPORT, INCLUDING GRANTS, TO ASSIST MEMBERS OF THE COMPANY IN THEIR OWN RESEARCH AND EDUCATION; - PROMOTING THE ABOVE OBJECTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SOCIAL IDEALS OF JACK BELLERBY IN HIS BOOK "THE CONTRIBUTIVE SOCIETY".
