THE CHARITYS OBJECT IS THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT FOR THE ADVANCEMENT EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT INCLUDING HIGHER EDUCATION OF PERSONS ATTENDING DURHAM SCHOOL AS PUPILS OR FORMER PUPILS OF DURHAM SCHOOL AND WHO BY REASON OF AGE, LACK OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES OR HAVING SPECIAL NEEDS OR ABILITIES REQUIRE, OR IT IS CONSIDERED WILL RESPOND TO, ASSISTANCE FINANCIAL OR OTHERWISE, OR WHERE IT IS DEEMED GENERALLY IN THE INTERESTS OF THE PUPIL OR PERSON RECEIVING SUPPORT TO PROVIDE IT.
