Formed in 1972 with its chief aims being the enrichment of village life and upholding of local traditions. The Duffield Community Association serves as a focal point for responsible discussion of current activities and future policies affecting the residents. By representing a wide section of the community it is able to influence public bodies. It is recognised as the local amenity group.

TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF DUFFIELD AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR A POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION AND INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.
