Charitable objects
"THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY (THE “OBJECTS”) ARE TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN PARTICULAR BY SUPPORTING OR UNDERTAKING ACTIVITIES THAT SEEK TO IMPROVE THE UK’S CAPACITY IN LANGUAGES AND THAT PROMOTE A STEP CHANGE IN LANGUAGE LEARNING. THE OBJECTS WILL BE FURTHERED WITH THE FOLLOWING FIVE STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES IN MIND: -FOR EVERY LANGUAGE TO BE VALUED AS AN ASSET -FOR A COHERENT EXPERIENCE OF LANGUAGES FOR ALL CHILDREN IN PRIMARY SCHOOL -FOR A BASIC WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF AT LEAST TWO LANGUAGES INCLUDING ENGLISH FOR EVERY CHILD LEAVING SECONDARY SCHOOL -FOR EVERY GRADUATE TO BE QUALIFIED IN A SECOND LANGUAGE -FOR AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF HIGHLY QUALIFIED LINGUISTS
