Charitable objects
THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS (OBJECTS) ARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC GENERALLY, BOTH IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND OVERSEAS: 1) TO PROMOTE ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSE; AND 2) FOR THE GENERAL PURPOSES OF SUCH CHARITABLE BODIES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE; AND, IN PARTICULAR, BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING: 3) TO RELIEVE POVERTY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, DEPRIVATION AND SICKNESS THROUGH SUCH MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT INCLUDING, IN PARTICULAR (BUT NOT BY WAY OF LIMITATION) BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL, MEDICAL AND OTHER MATERIAL ASSISTANCE TO THOSE IN NEED; 4) TO FURTHER CHARITABLE WORK FOR THE PROMOTION AND PROTECTION OF, AND PROVISION FOR, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH; 5) TO ASSIST PERSONS WHO ARE CURRENTLY SERVING, OR WHO HAVE SERVED, IN THE ARMED FORCES AND THEIR DEPENDANTS BY ANY CHARITABLE MEANS, IN PARTICULAR (BUT NOT BY WAY OF LIMITATION) BY PROMOTING AND PROTECTING THE HEALTH, AND RELIEVING THE NEEDS, SUFFERING AND DISTRESS, OF: 5.1) THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN WOUNDED OR INJURED WHILST SERVING IN THE ARMED FORCES AND THEIR DEPENDANTS; AND 5.2) THE DEPENDENTS OF ANY PERSON KILLED WHILST SERVING IN THE ARMED FORCES.
