Charitable objects
1 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN HARROW BY PROVIDING A RANGE OF TRAINING COURSES; AND 2 TO PROMOTE THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN HARROW BY: A) THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF A RESOURCE CENTRE TO BE USED BY THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR, INCLUDING THE PROVISION OF OFFICE, IT AND MEETING FACILITIES; AND B) FACILITATING PARTNERSHIP AND CO-OPERATION IN THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR. WITH A VIEW TO PROMOTING SOCIAL COHESION AMONGST THE PUBLIC IN HARROW. · "VOLUNTARY SECTOR" IS DEFINED AS "CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS". · CHARITIES ARE ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES. · VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS ARE INDEPENDENT ORGANISATIONS WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR PURPOSES THAT ADD VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE, OR A SIGNIFICANT SECTION OF THE COMMUNITY, AND WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED BY THEIR CONSTITUTION TO MAKE A PROFIT FOR PRIVATE DISTRIBUTION.
