Activities - how the charity spends its money
PATINA organises teachers, parents and artists to work with children in the Lewes District in East Sussex on arts events, of which the main one is a costume parade through the town to celebrate year 6 children moving on to secondary school, where the costumes are designed and made by the children with guidance from parents and artists.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE LEWES DISTRICT BY:-·GIVING THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING AND TAKING PART IN HIGH QUALITY CELEBRATORY ART AND DESIGN PROJECTS, IN PARTICULAR WORKING WITH THOSE IN THEIR FINAL YEAR OF PRIMARY SCHOOL BY WORKING WITH THEM TO DESIGN AND MAKE THEIR OWN COSTUMES FOR A CELEBRATORY ARTS PARADE;·ENHANCING AND BROADENING YOUNG PEOPLES EXPERIENCE OF THE ARTS AND DESIGN IN AND OUT OF SCHOOL IN THE LEWES DISTRICT; AND·INSPIRING AND PROMOTING ARTISTIC ENDEAVOUR AND APPRECIATION IN THE WIDER COMMUNITY BY PRESENTING ART EVENTS INVOLVING ARTISTS, YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES.
