TO ENCOURAGE AND PUBLISH, IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST, THE GENERATION OF NEW KNOWLEDGE ABOUT NICOTINE AND TOBACCO, IN ALL THEIR MANIFESTATIONS FROM MOLECULAR TO SOCIETAL, BY CONSTITUTING A FORUM FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ON THESE ISSUES. TO ENCOURAGE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH FOR THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF SMOKING TO ARRANGE AND SPONSOR SCIENTIFIC MEETINGS RELEVANT TO THE OBJECTS TO PUBLISH AND OTHERWISE FOSTER THE EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION RELEVANT TO THE OBJECTS TO PROVIDE ADVICE ON THE AVAILABILITY OF RELEVANT INFORMATION TO HER MAJESTY'S GOVENMENT AND OTHER PUBLIC BODIES
