TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF RELIEVE POVERTY AMONG AND ADVANCE RELIGION AMONG THE INHABITANTS OF THE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM AND THE SURROUNDING AREA (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS "THE INHABITANTS") WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR RACE OR OF POLITICAL RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.
