THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS (OBJECTS) ARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC GENERALLY, BOTH IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND OVERSEAS AND, IN PARTICULAR, THE INHABITANTS OF SOUTH AFRICA AND ITS SURROUNDING AREAS: 1) TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION BY PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR THE PLAYING OF ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL AND OTHER SPORTS CAPABLE OF IMPROVING HEALTH (FACILITIES IN THIS ARTICLE MEANS LAND, BUILDINGS, EQUIPMENT AND ORGANISING SPORTING ACTIVITIES); 2) TO PROVIDE AND ASSIST IN PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR SPORT, RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF SUCH PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED FOR SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES OR FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; 3) TO RELIEVE POVERTY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND DEPRIVATION THROUGH SUCH MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT INCLUDING, IN PARTICULAR (BUT NOT BY WAY OF LIMITATION) BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL AND OTHER MATERIAL ASSISTANCE TO THOSE IN NEED; 4) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC GENERALLY, INCLUDING IN PARTICULAR, YOUNG PEOPLE, THROUGH SUCH MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF CHARITY INCLUDING (BUT NOT RESTRICTED TO) BY HARNESSING THE HIGH PROFILE OF PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL AND THE POSITION OF CURRENT AND FORMER PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALLERS AS ROLE MODELS, IN ORDER TO WORK TOWARDS THE ELIMINATION OF RACIAL DISCRIMINATION BOTH IN FOOTBALL AND IN SOCIETY IN GENERAL; 5) TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH BY CHARITABLE MEANS; 6) FOR THE GENERAL PURPOSES OF SUCH CHARITABLE BODIES OR FOR SUCH OTHER EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN EACH CASE AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE.
