(1) TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF INDIVIDUALS WITH LESCH-NYHAN SYNDROME, THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THROUGH (I) THE PROVISION AND FACILITATION OF SUPPORT, CARE AND TREATMENT, (II) EDUCATIONAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL TOOLS, AIDS AND EQUIPMENT (III) NETWORKING TO EXCHANGE EXPERIENCES AND KNOWLEDGE, AND (IV) RESPITE CARE. (2) TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT LESCH-NYHAN SYNDROME THROUGH, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY (I) FUNDING RESEARCH INTO LESCH-NYHAN SYNDROME, ITS DIAGNOSIS, ITS TREATMENT AND TO PROGRESS TOWARDS THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CURE (II) RAISING AWARENESS OF LESCH-NYHAN SYNDROME (III) CO-ORDINATING A CENTRAL DATABASE OF LESCH-NYHAN SYNDROME FAMILIES, EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS, MEDICINES, TREATMENTS AND SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT.
