Charitable objects
THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS ARE: (A)TO RELIEVE THOSE IN NEED BECAUSE OF YOUTH, AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE; AND (B)TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN SOCIAL WORK AND TO PROMOTE RESEARCH (WHERE THE USEFUL RESULTS ARE PUBLISHED FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT) IN THE SAME WITH THE AIMS OF FOSTERING AND MAINTAINING THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE STANDARDS IN SOCIAL WORK AND PROMOTING AND FACILITATING RELATIONSHIP BASED PRACTICE IN SOCIAL WORK FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT. [NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEES INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND/OR SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.]
