Charitable objects
TO ADVANCE EDUCATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT OF BROADCASTING AND MEDIA TECHNOLOGY IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT INCLUDING BY: 1. ESTABLISHING EDUCATION AND TRAINING STANDARDS FOR TECHNICAL UNDERSTANDING, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES. 2. SETTING AND MARKING EXAMINATIONS WHICH EVIDENCE INDIVIDUAL ATTAINMENT OF THOSE STANDARDS. 3. AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS, MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES OR GRANTS TO UNDERTAKE RELEVANT TECHNICAL EDUCATION OR VOCATIONAL TRAINING. 4. PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO UNDERTAKE TRAVEL IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THAT EDUCATION OR TO PREPARE FOR ENTRY TO ANY RELEVANT OCCUPATION, TRADE OR PROFESSION.
