Charitable objects
(A) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE CITY OF LEICESTER AND ITS ENVIRONS WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS. (B) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY BY THE PROVISION OF SERVICES TO THE AGED IN LEICESTER AND ITS ENVIRONS; (C) TO PROMOTE AND ORGANISE CO-OPERATION IN THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE ABOVE PURPOSES AND TO THAT END BRING TOGETHER IN COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATUTORY AUTHORITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS ENGAGED IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE PURPOSES WITHIN THE CITY OF LEICESTER AND ITS ENVIRONS.
