TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN JAZZ MUSIC, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, GIRLS AND, THOSE FROM AN AFRO-CARIBBEAN BACKGROUND. TO PROMOTE THE ARTS AND IN PARTICULAR THE ART OF JAZZ MUSIC BY ASSISTING IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, YOUNG MUSICIANS OF MODERATE OR LIMITED MEANS IN SUCH WAYS AS TO ENABLE THEM TO BECOME SELF SUPPORTING FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT.
