To provide a residential base for young people to help educate through leisure time activities, to develop physical and mental capacities to grow to full mature members of society. Most groups enjoy the opportunity to be able to go exploring and walking in the Yorkshire Dales Duke of Edinburgh groups are supervised at the hostel for the assessing process.

FOR THE PURPOSE OF A RESIDENTIAL BASE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WHO RESIDE WITHIN THE HUDDERSFIELD COUNTY BOROUGH IN THE COLNE OR HOLME VALLEYS IN LEPTON KIRKBURTON AND KIRKHEATON OR ANY OTHER AREAS AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION ALLOW WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS TO HELP AND EDUCATE YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH THEIR LEISURE-TIME ACTIVITIES SO TO DEVELOP THEIR PHYSICAL MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL CAPACITIES THAT THEY MAY GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF SOCIETY AND THAT THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED.
