Activities - how the charity spends its money
Awards enabling violinists, who will usually be in full-time education, to participate in chamber music courses. The Trustees invite applications on behalf of specific students from organisations running chamber music courses. Priority given to UK students and students studying at courses taking place in the UK. The activities of the Trust are in accordance with the wishes of Pamela Spofforth MBE.

THE TRUSTEES MUST APPLY THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY IN FURTHERING THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS ("THE OBJECTS"): FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR VIOLINISTS OF ALL AGES TO STUDY CHAMBER MUSIC AT THE CHARITY CALLED PRO CORDA TRUST (REGISTERED CHARITY NUMBER 1116213) OR AT ANY OTHER INSTITUTION OR SIMILAR ORGANISATION BEING A CHARITY OR OTHERWISE OFFERING TRAINING OR TEACHING IN CHAMBER MUSIC AND ANCILLARY TO THIS MAIN OBJECT BUT NOT FURTHER OR OTHERWISE THE CHARITY MAY DO ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING THINGS: (I) PROVIDE BURSARIES OR PRIZES TO VIOLINISTS ATTENDING CHAMBER MUSIC COURSES (II) CIRCULATE INFORMATION TO INVITE AND ENCOURAGE PUBLIC INTEREST IN AND SUPPORT OF THE CHARITY
