(1) TO PROMOTE THE INTERESTS OF AND BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF CHORLEYWOOD AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF GENDER, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS OR AFFILIATIONS, BY ASSOCIATING WITH THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY, COMMUNITY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF PROMOTING SOCIAL WELFARE, LEISURE AND EDUCATION AND IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS GENERALLY. (2) IN PURSUIT OF THE ABOVE OBJECTIVE (WITHOUT LIMITATION AND AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TRUSTEES) TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO MAINTAIN OR MANAGE OR CO-OPERATE WITH ANY STATUTORY AUTHORITY, LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY, COMMUNITY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN THE MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF SUCH A COMMUNITY CENTRE FOR ACTIVITIES PROMOTED BY THE CIO IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTIVE.
