Activities - how the charity spends its money
Downham Market & District Heritage Society collects,preserves and displays artefacts, documents and photographs relating to Downham Market and the surrounding villages. These items have mostly been donated by local residents and the Society operates from a free admission Heritage Centre. The Society attends outside events and has a regular programme of Talks.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORICAL HERITAGE OF DOWNHAM MARKET AND ITS SURROUNDING VILLAGES THAT MAKE UP THE ANCIENT ADMINISTRATIVE AREA OF THE CLACKCLOSE HUNDRED, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: A) COLLECTING AND PRESERVING ARTEFACTS AND DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THE AREA; B) PROVIDING AN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE; AND C) COLLECTING AND PUBLISHING ASSOCIATED INFORMATION.
