Charitable objects
3. OBJECTS: A. ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION 1, TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECTS OF GENDER DYSPHORIA, GENDER EQUALITY, SEXUALITY AND SOCIAL INCLUSION. 2, TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS IN ENGLAND AND WALES AT SENIOR AND PRIMARY SCHOOLS BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AT THE SCHOOLS. B. ADVICE AND COUNSELLING 1, THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP BY PROVISION OF FREE LEGAL ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE TO PERSONS WHO THROUGH LACK OF MEANS WOULD OTHERWISE BE UNABLE TO OBTAIN SUCH ADVICE. 2, TO RELIEVE THE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL SICKNESS OF PERSONS RESIDENT IN ENGLAND AND WALES FROM BEREAVEMENT OR LOSS BY THE PROVISION OF COUNSELLING AND SUPPORT FOR SUCH PERSONS. C. CONCILLIATION AND MEDIATION 1, TO PROVIDE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, ASSISTANCE THROUGH CONCILIATION FOR FAMILIES, COUPLES AND PERSONS WHOSE RELATIONSHIPS APPEAR TO BE BREAKING DOWN, AND WHERE SUCH RELATIONSHIPS HAVE ALREADY BROKEN DOWN, TO ADVISE AND HELP IN THE SETTLEMENT OF DIFFERENCES OR POTENTIAL DIFFERENCES OVER ASSOCIATED MATTERS SUCH AS CUSTODY, ACCESS TO CHILDREN AND FINANCIAL MATTERS. IN FURTHERING THIS OBJECT THE TRUSTEES WILL PROVIDE COUNSELLING (BY TRAINED COUNSELLORS), ADVICE AND INFORMATION ON LEGAL RIGHTS OR OBLIGATIONS; SIGNPOSTING TO OTHER FORMS OF HELP, PROVIDING A SAFE “NEUTRAL” PLACE FOR FAMILIES, COUPLES AND PERSONS TO TALK TO EACH OTHER WITH A VIEW TO RECONCILIATION OR AGREEMENT. D. PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY 1, THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: A. THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF RACE, GENDER, DISABILITY, SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR RELIGION. B. ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS IN EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY. C. PROMOTING ACTIVITIES TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS. D. CONDUCTING OR COMMISSIONING RESEARCH ON EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY ISSUES AND PUBLISHING THE RESULTS TO THE PUBLIC. E. CULTIVATING A SENTIMENT IN FAVOUR OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY. IN FURTHERING THIS OBJECT THE TRUSTEES WILL PROVIDE ONE-TO-ONE PRIVATE CONSULTATIONS WITH PERSONS, FAMILIES OR SMALL GROUPS OF THE PUBLIC, OPEN MEETINGS TO DISCUSS EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY ISSUES, TALKS, SEMINARS AND DISSERTATIONS ON EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY, EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS (SENIOR AND PRIMARY), COLLEGES, PRIVATE AND PUBLIC ENTITIES, OTHER CHARITIES AND ORGANISATIONS TO PROMOTE EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY. E. RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP 1, THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG PEOPLE LIVING OR WORKING IN ENGLAND AND WALES BY PROVIDING SUCH PERSONS WITH SERVICES WHICH THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THROUGH LACK OF MEANS. 2, THE RELIEF OF THE SICK-POOR LIVING IN ENGLAND AND WALES EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY THROUGH THE PROVISION OF GOODS OR SERVICES. F. RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT 1, THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN SUCH WAYS AS MAY BE THOUGHT FIT, INCLUDING ASSISTANCE TO FIND EMPLOYMENT BY: A. ADVANCING EDUCATION B. RELIEVING POVERTY C. PROVISION OF ADVICE D. TRAINING CONCERNING EMPLOYMENT, SELF-EMPLOYMENT, C.V. WRITING AND ASSISTING IN JOB SEARCHES. G. PROMOTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS 1,TO PROMOTE HUMAN RIGHTS (AS SET OUT IN THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND SUBSEQUENT UNITED NATIONS CONVENTIONS AND DECLARATIONS) BY THE FOLLOWING MEANS: A. OBTAINING REDRESS FOR VICTIMS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE. B. COMMENTING ON PROPOSED HUMAN RIGHTS LEGISLATION. C. RAISING AWARENESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES. H. PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION 1, THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONG PEOPLE WHO ARE MARGINALIZED, GENDER VARIANT, GENDER DYSPHORIC, GENDER RE-ASSIGNED, TRANSSEXUAL, TRANSGENDERED, GAY, LESBIAN OR BISEXUAL BY THE PROVISION OF: A. EDUCATION AND TRAINING B. SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL EVENTS INVOLVING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY C. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AT OUR OFFICES TO ENABLE THE PUBLIC TO ACCESS THE INTERNET. 2, TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
