THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT, IN PARTICULAR BY ADVANCING EDUCATION IN THE SUBJECT OF CORAL REEFS, INCLUDING BY BUILDING AND MAINTAINING ARTIFICIAL REEFS IN MARINE PROTECTED AREAS FOR EDUCATIONAL USE.
