THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PROMOTION OF HEALTH OF THOSE PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM ALPORT SYNDROME, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: (A) THE ESTABLISHMENT AND FACILITATION OF A SUPPORT NETWORK FOR ALPORT SYNDROME PATIENTS, CARRIERS, THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS; (B) THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION ON ALPORT SYNDROME; (C) THE SUPPORT OF RESEARCH INTO ALPORT SYNDROME BOTH IN THE UK AND INTERNATIONALLY; (D) THE SUPPORT OF A RESEARCH REGISTRY IN THE UK AND AN INTERNATIONAL ALLIANCE OF NATIONAL REGISTRIES.
