Charitable objects
4.1 THE COMPANY'S OBJECTS (?OBJECTS?) ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE FOLLOWING: 4.1.1 TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN A PUBLIC DAY OR BOARDING SCHOOL OR SCHOOLS FOR THE EDUCATION OF GIRLS AND BOYS AND TO SUPPLY TO GIRLS AND BOYS GENERAL EDUCATION AND INSTRUCTION OF THE HIGHEST CLASS. 4.1.2 TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN A BOARDING HOUSE OR BOARDING HOUSES FOR THE USE OF GIRLS AND BOYS ATTENDING ANY SCHOOL MAINTAINED BY THE COMPANY AND TO EQUIP THE SAME AND TO ACQUIRE AND PROVIDE ALL FURNITURE, FOOD AND THINGS NECESSARY FOR THAT PURPOSE. 4.1.3 TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF EDGBASTON, BIRMINGHAM AND THE SURROUNDING AREA THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES OR FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.
