Charitable objects
1.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE IN SUCH WAYS AS THE COUNCIL THINK FIT AND FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THE ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION BY THE PROMOTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIOURS THAT MAINTAIN AND PROMOTE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING; AN ENVIRONMENT CONDUCIVE TO THE MAINTENANCE AND PROMOTION OF HEALTH AND WELL-BEING AND THE PROPER ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF AVAILABLE HEALTH AND MEDICAL SERVICES BY THE INDIVIDUAL AND IN THE COMMUNITY BY WHATEVER CHARITABLE MEANS AS THE COUNCIL SHALL THINK FIT. 1.2 THIS PROVISION MAY BE AMENDED BY SPECIAL RESOLUTION BUT ONLY WITH THE PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE COMMISSION. 1.3 THE INSTITUTE SHALL NOT SUPPORT WITH ITS FUNDS ANY OBJECTS OR ENDEAVOUR TO IMPOSE ON OR PROCURE TO BE OBSERVED BY ITS MEMBERS OR OTHERS ANY REGULATION, RESTRICTION OR CONDITION, WHICH, IF AN OBJECT OF THE INSTITUTE, WOULD MAKE IT A TRADE UNION.
