Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE EDUCATION (INCLUDING SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL TRAINING) OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN SUCH WAYS AS THE COMPANY TRUSTEES THINK FIT, INCLUDING BY: 1. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT, INCLUDING BY AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS, MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES OR GRANTS. 2. TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND HELP YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH: (A) THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES PROVIDED IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; (B) PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS. 3. To advance the understanding of the Hindu faith for the public benefit, by the provision of grants to Hindu organisations established for the advancement of religion, interfaith activities, education, and social and community matters and in particular but not exclusively, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir.
