Brixham Does Care is a registered befriending charity founded in 1978, which attempts combat loneliness & isolation. We offer support to people of all ages & client groups in Brixham & surrounding communities. Our offices in Brixham Town Hall are open 10am to 4pm. We provide a home visiting service, day centre, support, help with forms, groups & activities, charity shop and a low cost cafe.

Charitable objects
(A) TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF BRIXHAM, THE BOUNDARIES AS DEFINED BY THE OLD URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL PRIOR TO THE INCORPORATION IN THE BOROUGH OF TORBAY (HEREINAFTER CALLED 'THE AREA OF BENEFIT) WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AND STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO RELIEVE THE POOR, THE SICK AND DISABLED AND AGED AND TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF HEALTH ANDSOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS. B) TO ESTABLISH OR TO SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CARE AND SOCIAL CENTRE.
