Charitable objects
1. THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF GENERAL PUBLIC THROUGH TRAINING (INCLUDING VOCATIONAL TRAINING)AND LIFE-LONG LEARNING AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUAL CAPABILITIES, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING. 2. THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH OF GENERAL PUBLIC BY PROVIDING ADVICE WORKSHOPS, INFORMATION AND ARRANGING TRAINING SESSIONS TO PROMOTE HEALTH AND REDUCE SICKNESS. 3. THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY BY PROVIDING GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY. 4. THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY THE PROVISION OF ADVICE AND TRAINING TO UNEMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS CONCERNING EMPLOYMENT, SELF-EMPLOYMENT, THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COOPERATIVE ENTERPRISE AND THE PROVISION OF C.V. WRITING, JOB SEARCH AND JOB CLUB FACILITIES FOR THEM. 5. TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE TO LEARN THROUGH EXPERIENCE – OPPORTUNITIES THAT WOULD NOT OTHERWISE BE AVAILABLE TO THEM AND INVOLVING PEOPLE IN COLLECTIVE EFFORT SO THAT THEY GAIN CONFIDENCE IN THEIR OWN ABILITIES AND THEIR ABILITY TO INFLUENCE DECISION TO AFFECT THEM SO THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, HELP AND MEET THEIR OWN NEEDS AND PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY. 6. TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR ADVOCACY SERVICES FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF ONE OF MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS: UNEMPLOYMENT; FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; YOUTH OR OLD AGE; ILL HEALTH (PHYSICAL OR MENTAL); SUBSTANCE ABUSE OR DEPENDENCY INCLUDING ALCOHOL AND DRUGS; DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF SEX, RACE, DISABILITY, ETHNIC ORIGIN, RELIGION, BELIEF, CREED, SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR GENDER RE-ASSIGNMENT; POOR EDUCATIONAL OR SKILLS ATTAINMENT; RELATIONSHIP AND FAMILY BREAKDOWN; POOR HOUSING (THAT IS HOUSING THAT DOES NOT MEET BASIC HABITABLE STANDARDS; CRIME (EITHER AS A VICTIM OF CRIME OR AS AN OFFENDER REHABILITATING INTO SOCIETY). THESE OBJECTS SHALL BE PRIMARILY UNDERTAKEN THROUGHOUT LONDON
