Charitable objects
THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ('THE OBJECTS') ARE 1) TO RELIEVE PERSONS IN INDIA SUFFERING FROM POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY FOR VICTIMS OF THE SEX TRADE AND THEIR CHILDREN. 2) TO ADVANCE FOR PUBLIC BENEFIT THE EDUCATION OF THE INHABITANTS OF INDIA. 3) TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP IN INDIA BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, HEALTHCARE PROJECTS AND ALL THE NECESSARY SUPPORT DESIGNED TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS TO GENERATE A SUSTAINABLE INCOME AND BE SELF-SUFFICIENT. 4) TO PROVIDE RELIEF TO SURVIVORS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING THROUGH PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF MEDICAL TREATMENT, ADVICE ON AND ACCESS TO HOUSING PROVISION AND FINANCIAL AND LEGAL SUPPORT. 1. IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS THE CIO MAY: I) RAISE AWARENESS OF THE PUBLIC CONCERNING THE CAUSES OF AND WAYS OF RELIEVING SICKNESS AND POOR EDUCATION AMONGST THE VICTIMS OF THE SEX TRADE IN INDIA II) PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL VISITS AND VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE FROM THE UK TO FACILITIES FOR THE SUPPORT AND EDUCATION OF VICTIMS OF THE SEX TRADE IN AHMEDNAGAR AND OTHER PLACES IN INDIA. III) SUPPORT THE WORK OF SNEHALAYA IN AHMEDNAGAR, MAHARASHTRA AND OTHER CHARITIES/ORGANISATIONS IN SUCH A WAY THAT IS CHARITABLE UNDER THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES DETERMINE.
