1.1. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT OF ENGINEERING AND ENGINEERING ENTERPRISES IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES THINK FIT, INCLUDING BY:
1.1.1. AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS, MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES OR GRANTS TENABLE AT ANY UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE OR INSTITUTION OF HIGHER OR FURTHER EDUCATION;
1.1.2. PROMOTING RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT ON THE SUBJECT OF ENGINEERING AND DISSEMINATING THE USEFUL RESULTS, AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES THINK FIT;
1.1.3. ASSISTING ENGINEERING ENTERPRISES ESTABLISH AND OPERATE APPRENTICESHIPS AND OTHER CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES.
