TO RELIEVE POVERTY AND TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT GOOD HEALTH AMONGST PERSONS WHO ARE HOMELESS OR THREATENED WITH HOMELESSNESS OR THOSE WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM SUBSTANCE ABUSE OR IN SOME WAY SOCIALLY OR ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED THROUGH THE PROVISION OF A DAY SHELTER TO PROVIDE A HOT MEAL SERVICE, SHOWER FACILITIES, COUNSELLING AND HEALTH GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT SERVICES, INCLUDING VOCATIONAL AND TRAINING DEVELOPMENT.
