Charitable objects
THE PROMOTION OF PARTICIPATION BY PERSONS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM (BOTH ABLE-BODIED AND WITH ANY FORM OF DISABILITY AND OF ALL AGES) IN HEALTHY RECREATION IN HORSE RIDING THROUGH EDUCATION AND IN PROVIDING ADVICE TO RIDING SCHOOLS IN RESPECT OF REGULATION, WELFARE AND SAFETY ISSUES BY ANY OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS: (A) WORKING TO RAISE THE STANDARD OF (I) INSTRUCTION; (II) HORSEMANSHIP; AND (III) THE WELFARE OF HORSES AND PONIES, ALL TO FOSTER BETTER ENJOYMENT BY PARTICIPANTS IN EQUESTRIAN RIDING, AND THE SAFETY OF BOTH PARTICIPANTS AND HORSES; (B) ACTING GENERALLY AS AN ADVISORY BODY TO PROPRIETORS AND MANAGERS OF RIDING ESTABLISHMENTS, TO FOSTER ENHANCED LEVELS OF GOVERNANCE AND INCREASED UNDERSTANDING OF EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES THAT BENEFIT PARTICIPANTS (BOTH ABLE-BODIED AND WITH ANY FORM OF DISABILITY) IN EQUESTRIAN RIDING; (C) PROVIDING ADVICE, EDUCATION AND GUIDANCE TO PARTICIPANTS IN EQUESTRIAN RIDING (WHETHER OWNERS OF HORSES, RIDERS OR COACHES) AND, IN PARTICULAR, ENCOURAGING AND FACILITATING THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG AND DISABLED PERSONS AS PARTICIPANTS IN SUCH WAYS SO AS TO IMPROVE THEIR SELF-CONFIDENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM (INCLUDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF APPRENTICESHIP SCHEMES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE); (D) WORKING WITH THE NATIONAL GOVERNING BODY FOR EQUESTRIAN RIDING (BRITISH EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION) TO IMPLEMENT THEIR STRATEGIC PLANS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF EQUESTRIANISM; AND (E) DOING ANYTHING WHICH IS CALCULATED TO FURTHER ANY OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS OR IS CONDUCIVE OR INCIDENTAL TO DOING SO, PROVIDED THAT NOTHING IN THE ARTICLES SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 OR SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
