SLOW offers emotional and practical support to bereaved families that have lost a child in any circumstances. The charity currently provides support groups for bereaved parents when a child has died in the family; sibling support workshops for bereaved children that have lost a brother or sister and help and advice for professionals working with bereaved families.

Charitable objects
THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: 1. TO PROMOTE THE EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL WELL-BEING OF BEREAVED PARENTS, SIBLINGS AND CHILDREN SUFFERING FROM GRIEF THROUGH EXPERT SUPPORT OF BEREAVED FACILITATORS PROMOTING SELF-HELP AND MUTUAL SUPPORT. 2. TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT SOCIAL INCLUSION OF BEREAVED PARENTS, SIBLINGS AND CHILDREN TO FULLY PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY. 3. TO PROMOTE EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL WELL-BEING THROUGH THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING MATERIALS ON GRIEF AND BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT. 4. TO PROMOTE THE EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL WELL-BEING OF OTHER BEREAVED FAMILY MEMBERS WHERE THIS CONTRIBUTES TO ACHIEVING OBJECTS 1-3.
