The aims of the society are to further the studies of birds in the field and assist in their preservation. Specific activities include: - co-operation with other bodies in the maintenance/management of local areas of ornithological/natural history importance - recording of bird life in the LOS area - publishing of ornithological material and that related to conservation, relevant to the area
