THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF FAMILIES THROUGH SUBSEQUENT PREGNANCIES AFTER A PREGNANCY / BABY LOSS, KNOWN AS A RAINBOW PREGNANCY BY:- ·PROVIDING SUPPORT THROUGH PEER SUPPORT GROUPS, WORKSHOPS AND RELAXATION CLASSES AND PLAY DATES FOR FAMILIES; ·LOANING A RANGE OF RESOURCES FOR FAMILIES AND OTHER PROFESSIONALS; ·CELEBRATING THE FAMILY AS A WHOLE INCLUDING BABIES WHO ARE NO LONGER WITH TO BREAK THE “TABOO” ASSOCIATION WITH THE LOSS OF A BABY; AND ·RAISING THE AWARENESS OF BABY LOSS AND THE AFFECT THIS HAS ON FAMILIES AND FRIENDS
