Activities - how the charity spends its money
The Wilmslow Half Marathon raises funds by organising an annual half marathon race in the roads around Wilmslow and Mobberley. The event is held at the end of March or beginning of April and has been held since 1984. Usually between 4-5000 competitors enter the event. Any surplus generated by the event is distributed to sports clubs and other organisations in the area.

THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT:- 1)THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF WILMSLOW BY THE PROVISION OF FUNDS AND FACILITIES FOR RUNNING AND PLAYING RUGBY, HOCKEY, LACROSSE AND CRICKET AND SUCH OTHER SPORTS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION DEEM APPROPRIATE; AND 2)TO SUPPORT SUCH GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION MAY DETERMINE.
