THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE AND PROMOTE EDUCATION AND PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE CITY OF SHEFFIELD AND ELSEWHERE AND IN PARTICULAR( BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY) THE INHABITANTS OF TOTLEY IN THE CITY OF SHEFFIELD (THE ?AREA OF BENEFIT?) REGARDLESS OF THEIR SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE, AGE, POLITICAL OR RELIGIOUS OPINIONS, OR WHETHER OR NOT THEY HAVE A DISABILITY, BY ESTABLISHING AND PROVIDING COMMUNITY BASED LIBRARY FACILITIES AND ASSOCIATED SERVICES.
