3 OBJECTS THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO PROMOTING FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: 3.1 THE UPHOLDING AND PROPER ADMINISTRATION OF THE LAW AND INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION INSOFAR AS SO DOING ADVANCES THE UPHOLDING AND PROPER ADMINISTRATION OF THE LAW: 3.1.1 THE PROVISION OF PRO BONO LEGAL SERVICES; 3.1.2 THE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF, AND PROVISION OF ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE TO, LAWYERS IN THE PROVISION OF PRO BONO LEGAL SERVICES; AND 3.1.3 THE PROMOTION OF THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF LAW. RELEVANT DEFINITION: PRO BONO LEGAL SERVICES: (I) LEGAL ADVICE, OTHER LEGAL SERVICES AND ASSISTANCE, INCLUDING SIGNPOSTING SERVICES PROVIDED AT NO COST TO INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS OF INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS REQUIRING ASSISTANCE; (II) LEGAL ADVICE, REPRESENTATION AND ASSISTANCE INCLUDING SIGNPOSTING IN RELATION TO THE PROSECUTION OR DEFENCE OF ACTIONS BEFORE THE COURTS AND TRIBUNALS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM, THE COURT OF JUSTICE OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, THE COURT OF FIRST INSTANCE OR THE EUROPEAN COURT OF HUMAN RIGHTS BY PERSONS WHO BY REASON OF THEIR INADEQUATE MEANS ARE UNABLE TO OBTAIN SUCH ADVICE AND REPRESENTATION FROM THEIR OWN RESOURCES; AND (III) THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL AND OTHER RESOURCES AND ASSISTANCE, INCLUDING SIGNPOSTING IN SUPPORT OF SUCH SERVICES;
