The charity was set up to project manage the the refurbishment and improvement of the play facilities which included the grounds and equipment known as Copley Play Area for the benefit of the children in the parish. This included obtaining funding for the project and the continuing maintenance of the grounds and equipment. The trustees are the parish councillors.
