Activities - how the charity spends its money
Provides daily out of hours and weekend voluntary free courier service to NHS in north and west Cumbria for collection and delivery of blood ,tissue samples, files and instruments between sites and daily delivery of blood to Great North Air Ambulance at Langwathby. We also have standby cover for emergency urgent courier runs including relay through Cumbria for long distances transfers.

Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS: TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PROTECT HEALTH BY THE PROVISION OF TRANSPORT OF URGENTLY NEEDED BLOOD, DRUGS, HUMAN TISSUES, BREAST MILK AND OTHER MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS BETWEEN HOSPITALS AND BLOOD TRANSFUSION BANKS PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN CUMBRIA (LAKE DISTRICT)AND S.W. SCOTLAND. TO ALSO HELP THE NHS TO SAVE MONEY WHICH COULD BE BETTER SPENT ON PATIENT CARE.
